Chemical sunscreen, coral reefs and sea anemones

Ph.D candidate Djordie Vuckovic at Standford University's civil and environmental engineering department joins the Science Magazine Podcast to talk about the harmful effects from common chemicals found in everyday sunscreens. He, rather alarmingly, found harmful chemicals in his urine after lathering himself in a common sunscreen. Djordie goes into some detail on the podcast on the effects of oxybenzones and marine life and goes on to advocate for the use of mineral sunscreens.

If it's in your pee, it's in the sea!
